The following photos of the project are the removal of the access panels and
cleaning out the plane at the Connecticut Air and Space Center.
Today is 18 October 2008, and I am ready.
I guess that this is the area where I get fixed up, and do I need it!
Just a walk-a-round,
to size up the project
and get a feel for what must be done,
and do it right the first time.
This is the inside starboard flap.
Today is 25 October 2008 and the access panels are coming off.
Ahh. it is good to be able to breathe again.
Here you can see the tail wheel cover is removed.
I say cover, because the doors have been removed.
The engine access covers are removed.
Also the aluminum cover over the cockpit is also removed.
In this close-up of the engine you can see some of the
bird nests near the bottom cylinders.
Now, you want to talk about bird nests.

And the drawings in the cockpit.
And the controls that won't move.
The radio compartment look OK, a little bit.
